Race 1


#5 TC’S BIG CAT DADDY has been racing well against tougher competition and is proven at the one-turn mile. #1 DUSTY WINNER and #1A TOM BRUCE are both good enough to win this if they can fire off the layoff, which most horses from the barn do. #2 STEADFAST should move forward today after a brutal trip on a sloppy track last time.

Race 2


#8 MIDLAND CRUISER seems to be getting good in the fall of his 3-year-old campaign. Further improvement is entirely possible but probably not necessary. #3 ON THE MONEY has been solid at half-mile tracks all season.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 3,8 w/ 1,2,8 w/ 4

Race 3


#1 HOLLYS TOPAZ put up a 1:53 mile here last fall that would easily win this event. She’s probably not as a good this year but that good recently qualifier is encouraging. #8 BRIANS JOY was a good second at this level just four days ago. #2 JUST BELIEVE IN ME should improve.

Race 4


#4 RALLY BY THE RIVER has been facing much tougher and clearly loves Colonial. #8 SONOFAFRICA acquitted himself well in some tough $20,000 claimers most recently. #6 OLIVIA’S FILLY always demands respect at this track.
Suggested bet: Pick-4 – 4 w/ 3,4 w/ 7 w/ 2,5,6,7,8

Race 5


#4 MAC T’S DIAMOND closed powerfully to finish a good second on Saturday and may find a better pace setup today. #3 CAJON BUBBA is clearly good enough but three breaks in his last four races makes it awfully tough to accept a short price on him. #7 AL’S BEACH BOY should be in the mix but has a disturbing tendency to settle for minor shares.
Suggested bet: Win - 4

Race 6


#7 RILEY ROSE will deservedly be odds-on to add to her $360,000 bankroll. If the brief break catches up to her, #5 DRIVIN’ MISS RUDEE, #6 SCOTT’S SWEETY and #4 TWIN B SCAMPER all have great histories in New Kent and should be right there to pick up the pieces.
Suggested bet: Trifecta key – 7 w/ 4,5,6

Race 7


#5 WEST STAR JOURNEY seems to be over his breaking problems and fits very well here based on his Rosecroft from. #7 JOANNE’S ATTACK is better than her last races shows. #8 JOINT CRUSADE seems to be rounding back into form. #2 PRENTIOUS LADY was a good second against similar Friday. #6 STRONG BELIEF should be right back in the mix today.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 5 w/ 2,6,7,8

Race 8


#10 ROMPAWAY YUM YUM should win this fairly easily with a repeat of Firday’s impressive score. #1 ROYAL PHOTO and #2 D’AMICO CUCINA both have the back class to challenge the favorite but haven’t done it recently.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 10 w/ 1,2

Race 9


#4 COCKTAIL HOUR looks awfully strong, especially if Rompaway Yum Yum performs well in race 8. #7 VALCYON DAYS has been hampered by wide trips recently which ought not be a problem here. #8 ORNELLIX is very dangerous if she can stay flat. #6 MI’S ARLENE probably needed her last and should be finishing more strongly today.
Suggested bet: Trifecta – 4,7 w/ 4,6,7,8 w/ 4,6,7,8

Race 10


#7 ASIAN EXPRESS fits the conditions beautifully and appears to be a touch faster than today’s rivals. #3 MAD LIBS also fits nicely and should be closing strongly. #6 SKY QUEEN hasn’t lived to a terrific sophomore season but she should be very dangerous at this level.
