Saturday September 27 picks

Race 1

#4 EVERYMILEAMEMORY broke in her only start but showed some real talent last week with 28.3 final quarter in a qualifier. #8 TAP FIVE has been competitive in nearly every race thus far. #3 STONE CREEK has been solid in both tries at Colonial.
Suggested bet: Exacta 3,4,8

Race 2

#3 CHISELLED should be fit for his seasonal debut after a couple of qualifiers and showed plenty of raw talent as a 2yo. #5 SUPER SID figures to finish stronger in his second start of the year.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 3,5 w/ 2,10, w/ 2,7,9,10

Race 3

#10 ARMBRO CABOT got back on track with a win last week and is still eligible to race against much easier than his old levels. #2 ACTION BIG TOWNER obviously fits very well here but it is disconcerting to see her tire so badly the last time she raced on a large track.
Suggested bet: Win - 10

Race 4

#2 MCCOY struggled recently at Harrington but was terrific earlier this at Rockingham, which should transfer nicely to the one-turn mile. #9 TACTICAL ADVANTAGE has three straight wins, including one at this level. #10 PARADISE LANE N deserves another shot.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 2,9,10

Race 5

#8 SAMCIN has really taken to Colonial with two straight impressive wins. #6 LUDE N CRUDE never got involved last week after looking so impressive the first leg. A rebound certainly wouldn’t be a surprise. #4 RICK’S SIGN finishes as well as any of them and gets a much better post today. #2 MINNESOTA MARY held well after setting a quick pace last week.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 8 w/ 2,4,6

Race 6

#6 FIRM FATALE never really got involved last week but her race two weeks would win this. #4 TRANQUILITY is due for a win after two straight narrow defeats. #1A DEMOCRITUS and #1 DREAM SUNRISE are both logical.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 1,4,6

Race 7

#7 DOUBLE FLIP is dripping with back class and should be ready to get back on track in her third start after missing the summer. #9 POLO JOHNNY was amazing last week, overcoming interference and making up 11 lengths in the final half mile to win in the last stride.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 7,9

Race 8

#1 MATA HARRY and #1A SIR BEACH DRAGON form a powerful entry that just looks tough to beat here. #7 RACING NAKED is good enough to beat the favorites on his best day and he had plenty of excuses last time, dueling through sizzling fractions in his first start in six months.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 1,7 w/ 4,6,7 w/ 2,3

Race 9

#7 MC MATZ’S ZTAM just missed the last time raced at this level. #4 IT’S THE LAW keeps dropping in class and should prove tough here. #6 GRAMPA GUS loomed large in upper stretch last week before fading late. He may have needed a race and a chance to acclimate to Colonial.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 4,6,7

Race 10

#2 JACOB’S WINNER wins for fun if he’s anything close to what he was last year. The mind-boggling first half mile he put up in his lone 2008 start and the two good qualifiers give confidence. #3 ORNELLIX should appreciate the class drop.
Suggested bet: Daily Double – 2,3 w/ 3,8

Race 11

#3 JIMMY KING has a good history at Colonial and should really appreciate dropping of the late closer. #8 THISOLDARTOFMINE may wake-up today with Chris Page aboard. #9 MACTANKIN should be in the mix right from the start.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 3,8,9
