Race 1

#8 MYSTIQUE JATE was a good second against similar last time, a race that was flattered when the third place finisher came back to win by 9 ½ lengths. #6 HIGHWAY CRUISE closed well for fourth in that same race. #1 IDEAL JIN is a promising first-time starter.

Race 2

#4 MR BEAU WINDSWEPT has been facing much tougher and should be fit now after two qualifiers and a race. #2 D’AMICO CUCINA seems to be getting back on track.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 2,4 w/ 2,9,10 w/ 1,5

Race 3

#2 ADMIRAL’S SCOOTER is always competitive at this level and projects to a nice trip today. #10 OUR NEW JET held on nicely despite a fast pace last time. #9 HALL SIGN overcame post 9 to get second against similar at Scioto last time. Post 9 is much easier here.

Race 4

#5 COCKTAIL HOUR is on a nice roll against easier and clearly has the back class handle today’s step up. #1 BENGALI gets a nice drop in class and returns to a track he’s had plenty of success at in the past. #6 AU BON HALL fits if he can fire his best shot just three days after racing 1 ¼ miles.
Suggested bet: Pick-4 – 1,5 w/ 1,7,8 w/ 1,5,9 w/ 4

Race 5

#7 STRAD HANOVER got cooked in a blistering duel in leg 1. He’ll hold on much better with a saner pace scenario today. #8 NIFTY NORMAN dominated leg 1 but he did get a perfect setup that day and will be a short price today. #1 OH GEE WIZ and #1A ISLAND ZORRO both fit nicely off solid performances last week.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 7 w/ 1,6,8

Race 6

#9 PRO NORTH couldn’t have been more impressive last week and is proven at this tougher level. #1 MR GENIUS has been awfully good at Pocono despite bad post position luck. #5 SOUTHWIND MAJESTIC fits well and draws Bier away from Pro North.

Race 7

#4 PARADUSHO N recorded a 1:52.4 mile here each of the last two seasons. She may not be as good at age 11 but even a second or two slower would do the trick here. #1 TELL HILLARY may be rounding back into to top form after a solid third opening week.

Race 8

#1A PEACHES AND CREAM wins this very easily if she can repeat the Pocono form from last month. #1 YANKEE ADVENT is also a logical contender. #5 BRILEY SHEA has been very solid all season. #7 VIRTUAL PRINCESS should be closing late.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 1,5,7

Race 9

#3 KAN JAMAICAMECRAZY does his best on the bigger tracks and gets a nice class drop today. #6 XIOMEI was a good second behind an impressive repeat winner last time. #1 ENDORPHAN ANNIE had a nice comeback race and should be primed for a better effort tonight.
Suggested bet: Exacta box 1,3,6

Race 10

#9 TROTTERS R US is awfully tough at this level and must be respected off a solid third to a repeat winner. #3 FRESH AND FAMOUS also fits well and emerges from a good Q race here. #1 DESCANT continues to plunge in class while seeking a return to his 2007 form.
Suggested bet: Daily Double – 3,9 w/ 4,10

Race 11

#10 JACKSBROTHERJOE finds his easiest spot in a while and may just be faster than today’s rivals. #4 BRIANS JOY has two straight seconds against similar. #9 O O BEACH probably need last week’s race and fits well on his July form.
