Race 1

#3 JAMAS was a conclusive winner of the prep and is a deserving heavy favorite in the Finals today. #1 THE DOCTOR followed Jamas around the track in the prep. He might improve today in just his third lifetime start. #4 HE’S THE BOSS has every right to improve in his second career race.

Race 2

#8 OLYMPIC MAGIC didn’t make an impact last time but this field is closer to what he faced in that nice win two back. #4 JOVIAL CHARM can win if she really is back to her best.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 4,8 w/ 4 w/ 2,4,6

Race 3

#4 FOUR STARZ HORNDOG won the faster elimination without too much effort and appears capable of going even faster based on her summer races. #7 COVERGIRLPATTYANN looked good winning the other elimination. #1A MINNESOTA MARY has been awfully consistent this meet.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 4,8

Race 4

#6 JOYFUL SPORT lost her win streak with a break last week but is clearly good enough if she stays flat and doesn’t show any other breaks this year. #2 ASIAN EXPRESS fits nicely here but did lose to the top pick two races back. #4 BERKELY PARK can make an impact at a big price.
Suggested bet: Pick-4 – 2,4,6 w/ 3 w/ 5,7 w/ 3,8,9

Race 5

#3 KOALA KAT seems to have really turned a corner this fall. It’s her race to lose. #4 PRETTY MAY FLOWERS was a good second in the prep despite losing some ground on the turn. #6 DREAMANDA is the defending champ and may have needed that prep race after a month off.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 3,4

Race 6

#5 FIRM FATALE gets her easiest assignment since her last win. #7 EL VONTE Q will be very tough to beat if he can repeat that 1:52 effort from two weeks ago but he’s not the most consistent horse in the world. #2 BOAT KING has been a disappointment his last two races but was awfully impressive getting second in a quick race three back.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 5 w/ 2,6,7

Race 7

#3 TAP FIVE was probably best in the prep, closing stoutly to just miss despite a rather slow early pace. #8 SLIM JUSTICE was very game to win the prep but he did have a big advantage getting an unchallenged lead through soft fractions. #9 RICK’S CROSSROADS didn’t lose the prep by much.
Suggested bet: Trifecta box – 3,8,9

Race 8

#4 ELECTRIC CHICKEN has been terrific all meet and can be forgiven for losing the faster elimination after setting blistering fractions. #3 ANDIRON SPRINGS obviously must be respected as the winner of the faster elimination and the field’s richest horse.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 3,4 w/ 4 w/ 1,6

Race 9

#4 ART THIEF freaked last week but was DQed. Anything close to that effort will notch a win that counts this time. #2 PACIFICA is certainly good enough if she’s past her breaking issues. #5 SOUTH SIDE BUNNY is proven at this level.
Suggested bet: Win – 4

Race 10

#6 BOSS OUTLAW did most of the dirty work last week and still lost by just a nose. #1A FIRST RATE won both last year’s Finals and this year’s prep. #1 LITENINGSTRIKSTWICE is also good enough to win. #3 BLUERIDGE FINANCE was a good fourth last week.
Suggested bet: Daily Double – 1,6 w/ 7,9

Race 11

#9 HERO’S CAVALCADE has been battling tougher all meet and was just a ¼-length behind the favorite last week. #7 TWENTY SIX KARMA certainly fits if he’s ready to fire his best shot today. #1 AL’S BEACH BOY is a perfectly reasonable favorite in a tough field.
