Race 1

#3 PRO NORTH won the opening leg despite an adventurous trip last week. His bid for a fourth straight certainly benefits from the abbreviated field. #2 POLO JOHNNY’s great season ended painfully last week but he’s obviously good enough to rebound today.
Suggested bet: Daily Double – 2,3 w/ 9,10

Race 2

#9 PEEKABOO SAM enjoyed an excellent career debut last week that suggests he won’t be a maiden long. #10 MAR-BEAR was also a good second to the same horse.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 9,10 w/ 1,5,6 w/ 1,3

Race 3

#5 IRASCIBLE got second in the toughest maiden race of the meet last week and should be primed in her third start of the layoff. #6 CLASHAY PANTS fits on her Pennsylvania form but must overcome a three-month layoff. #1 LATIN LIFTOFF closed well to get third behind the favorite.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 1,5,6

Race 4

#1 BIG STAR CHUCK and #1A LITTLE STAR BECCA can both win this. #3 JAMI THE GREAT is in the best current form but it’s hard to bet to win on a horse with 1 win and 19 2nds or 3rds. #5 ADORE ELEANOR is sharp and can certainly improve in her second Colonial start.
Suggested bet: Pick-4 – 1,3 w/ 4,7,9 w/ 3,5,7 w/ 6

Race 5

#9 WAGENER was a nice second despite a wide trip against similar last week. He should only improve with that race under his belt after a brief freshening and has been admirably consistent of late. #4 PACIFICA gets a nice class drop that should make awfully tough if he handles the switch to Colonial. #7 CRIMES OF PASSION was a game winner last week.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 4,7,9

Race 6

#3 BOSS OUTLAW has been racing well against stiff competition all year and has a proven affinity for Colonial. #7 THAT’S JUSTICE certainly must be respected off that 1:49.4 win last week. #5 BAROLO HANOVER should prove tough as usual.
Suggested bet: Win - 3

Race 7

#6 AMBRO THE THUG N was awfully impressive last week, overcoming a break and passing six horses in the stretch to get a good second against a tough field. #4 ISLAND ZORRO is still seeking his first win of the year but should appreciate dropping out of the tough Belote series. #7 VICKIE’S DREAMBOAT was less than three lengths behind the top choice last week.
Suggested bet: Win – 6

Race 8

#3 BENGALI gets a nice class drop and driver switch. #6 SINGLE SPICE fits very nicely at this nicely. #4 LUVYABUTLEAVE is awfully tough when she stays flat.
Suggested bet: Pick-3 – 3 w/ 1,2,4,5 w/ 2,3,7

Race 9

#2A SIERRA’S DREAM had a nice comeback last week and should be even closer to his formidable best in his second start off a long layoff today. #4 RALLY BY THE RIVER is always tough. #5 WINDTALKER just won at this level. #1A DUSTY WINNER has been terrific this year.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 2 w/ 1,4,5

Race 10

#3 OLIVIA’S FILLY should find this easier than the tough late closers she’s been in. #7 STRIKEMOUT fits nicely at this level. #2 ALPINE HAWK has been chasing tougher. This should suit him better.
Suggested bet: Daily Double – 3,7 w/ 7,9

Race 11

#9 GABBY’S LOVE has been facing much tougher, with some success. This is a great spot to get her back to the winners circle. #7 FOB WATCH N has been steadily improving all meet. #4 ADDISON won the last time he raced at this level.
Suggested bet: Exacta box – 9 w/ 4,6,7
